Khaleda Zia to be taken to London once doctors approve, says Mirza Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has stated that party Chairperson Khaleda Zia will be taken to London as soon as her doctors confirm she is fit to travel. He made the remarks on Friday afternoon in front of the BNP’s central office at Nayapaltan in Dhaka.

Fakhrul said, “If the air ambulance arrives from Qatar tomorrow, she may be taken to England the day after. She remains critically ill. If the doctors confirm that she is fit to board a plane, only then will it be possible to take her.”

He added that Khaleda Zia is being treated by highly qualified doctors at both national and international levels. “The doctors believe she requires further advanced treatment. For this reason, the decision has been made to take her to a hospital in England,” he said.
