The Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council has officially announced the admission process for the 2025–26 academic year for government, autonomous, and private nursing and midwifery institutions. Prospective students may apply for a four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc Nursing), three-year Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery, and three-year Diploma in Midwifery programmes.
According to the official notice, candidates can submit applications online until 31 January 2026 at 11:59 PM. Application fees may be paid until 1 February 2026, while admit cards will be available for download from 22 to 24 February 2026.
Applicants must be Bangladeshi citizens.
Candidates should have passed HSC or equivalent in 2023, 2024, or 2025 and SSC or equivalent in 2021, 2022, or 2023. The interval between SSC and HSC examinations must not exceed three years.
Gender reservation: For government institutions, up to 15% of BSc Nursing and Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery seats are reserved for male students. Private institutions may reserve up to 20% for male applicants. The Diploma in Midwifery programme is open to female candidates only.
BSc Nursing candidates must have studied science at both SSC and HSC levels, achieving a minimum total GPA of 6.50 across both exams, with no less than 3.00 in either exam. A minimum GPA of 2.50 in Biology at HSC is required.
Diploma applicants may belong to any academic stream, with a combined GPA of at least 6.00 and a minimum GPA of 2.50 in each exam.
The admission test is 100 marks, MCQ-based, and lasts 1 hour 15 minutes, with separate papers for BSc Nursing and Midwifery courses.

Student selection is based on SSC and HSC GPAs and MCQ scores, with the following weighting:
SSC GPA × 5 = 25 marks
HSC GPA × 5 = 25 marks
MCQ Exam = 100 marks
Total = 150 marks
Candidates scoring 40 or more in the MCQ test will be considered qualified. Admission to government institutions depends on merit ranking and candidate preferences, while private institutions allocate seats based on merit among successful candidates. A 1% quota is reserved for disadvantaged groups; unfilled seats will revert to general merit-based selection.
