IFIC Bank Holds Regional Branch Conference in Chittagong

IFIC Bank convened an extensive regional branch conference in Chittagong to review its operations, strategise for sustainable growth, and enhance customer service standards across the region. The event, titled “IFIC Bank Sub-Branch Business Conference 2026 – Chittagong Region,” was held on Saturday, 31 January 2026, at the historic Chittagong Club. Representatives from all branches in the Chittagong region attended the conference, making it a comprehensive gathering of the bank’s regional leadership.

The conference was inaugurated and presided over by Mr Md Mahmud Hossain, Chairman of IFIC Bank, who also delivered the keynote address. Senior executives, including Managing Director Syed Monsur Mostafa, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Branch Business Division Md Rafiqul Islam, and Regional Manager Chittagong, Md Monjurul Mumin, joined branch managers and officers in the discussions. The central objectives of the conference were to review past branch performance, define future targets, and establish strategies for sustainable growth.

In his keynote address, Chairman Md Mahmud Hossain emphasised, “The strength of our bank lies in the trust of our customers and the commitment of our branch-level employees.” He highlighted the intense competition in the banking sector and underscored the importance of delivering fast, accurate, and high-quality services. “Branches are the pillars of our customer relationships,” he noted, expressing confidence that IFIC Bank would further solidify its position as a reliable and comprehensive banking service provider in the Chittagong region.

Managing Director Syed Monsur Mostafa stressed that “a nationwide branch network forms the backbone of sustainable business growth” and highlighted ongoing initiatives to improve staff skills, provide professional training, and expand technology-driven banking services.

Deputy Managing Director Md Rafiqul Islam presented key performance indicators of branches, focusing on deposit mobilisation, responsible lending, recovery enhancement, and operational profitability.

A key segment of the conference involved recognising outstanding branches. A total of 18 branches were honoured for their exceptional contributions across various performance areas, as summarised below:
