PSU football fans will get a fresh new look this spring.

Penn State University will host its annual Blue-White Weekend on Saturday, 25 April, the Nittany Lion football programme confirmed on X on Monday afternoon. While details remain scarce, the announcement follows remarks earlier this month from head coach Matt Campbell, who assured fans that there would be spring football activities.

The Blue-White Weekend traditionally serves as the programme’s spring showcase, allowing fans to watch the team in action, meet players, and engage with the coaching staff. It also provides an early look at new recruits and team developments ahead of the 2026 season. Tickets for the event are expected to sell quickly, reflecting strong local and national interest in the Nittany Lions’ programme.

New Wide Receivers Coach Hired

In other developments, Penn State has confirmed the hiring of Kashif Moore as its new wide receivers coach, according to multiple media reports. Moore had joined Colorado State University in December as a pass game specialist and wide receivers coach, but he departed before coaching a game there.

Moore brings a wealth of experience, having spent the last three seasons at UConn, where he developed the Huskies’ receiving corps. Before Connecticut, he had one-season stints at Albany and Cornell at the FCS level, and Wesleyan in Division III.

As a player, Moore was a standout receiver at UConn from 2008 to 2011. Following his collegiate career, he had brief stints in the National Football League with the Cincinnati Bengals, Indianapolis Colts, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Kansas City Chiefs, giving him insight into elite-level football that he now brings to Penn State.

Kashif Moore Coaching Timeline

Year Position Team
2008–2011 Wide Receiver UConn
2012–2013 Receiver/Assistant Wesleyan (DIII)
2014 Receiver Coach Albany (FCS)
2015 Receiver Coach Cornell (FCS)
2020–2022 Wide Receivers Coach UConn
Dec 2025 Pass Game Specialist/WR Coach Colorado State
2026– Wide Receivers Coach Penn State

Moore’s appointment is expected to bolster Penn State’s offensive unit, particularly in the passing game, as Campbell looks to implement a more dynamic offensive scheme. Fans will likely get a first glimpse of Moore’s influence during the Blue-White Weekend in April.

With spring practice and the upcoming showcase, Nittany Lion supporters are being offered an early opportunity to see how the team is shaping up under Campbell’s leadership and with Moore’s addition to the coaching staff.
