Renowned singer Monir Khan is set to gift his fans a soul-stirring new Islamic song this Ramadan. Titled “Allah Maf Kor” (Forgive Me, Allah), the song has been composed, written, and musically directed by Babul Akaid. It is scheduled for release on Thursday, 26 February, at 3:00 PM on the MK Music24 YouTube channel.
Monir Khan has urged his followers to subscribe to the channel and activate the notification bell to enjoy the song as soon as it premieres. Speaking about the release, he said, “Although the song was recorded some time ago, its lyrics, melody, and overall musical arrangement perfectly resonate with the sacred spirit of Ramadan. That is why we decided to release it during this holy month. Each line of the song is imbued with spirituality, and I hope the listeners will connect with its message of reflection and devotion.”
Monir Khan first stormed the audio music scene in 1996 with his debut solo album “Tomar Kono Dosh Nei” (You Are Blameless). Since then, he has released over 42 solo albums, in addition to numerous duet and mixed albums. His versatility extends to playback singing in cinema, where his voice has enhanced films such as “Premer Tajmahal”, “Lal Doria”, and “Dui Noyoner Alo”.
His decades-long contribution to the music industry has earned him multiple awards, including the National Film Award, as well as other prestigious accolades recognising his influence and dedication. Despite his long career, Monir Khan continues to delight audiences with new releases, blending traditional melodies with contemporary musical elements.
