Iranian Strikes Target US Base in Kuwait

Iranian forces have reportedly launched a series of missile attacks against multiple targets, including a prominent United States military installation in Kuwait. The strikes, announced on Monday, were directed at the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait as well as hostile naval vessels operating in the northern Indian Ocean.

According to a report by Roya News on 2 March, the Iranian military stated that the operation was a retaliatory response following the killing of a senior figure of the Islamic Republic in an attack allegedly carried out by the United States and Israel. Iran’s ground and naval missile units reportedly coordinated the attacks from multiple locations to maximise impact.

In its official statement, Iran confirmed the use of 15 cruise missiles during the operation. However, no immediate comment or verification has been provided by Kuwaiti authorities or the United States government regarding casualties, damage, or the overall impact of the strikes.

The operation forms part of what Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) describes as the sixth phase of retaliatory measures in response to previous airstrikes targeting Iranian territory.
