The Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) has officially released the schedule for the fifth phase of undergraduate admissions for the 2025-26 academic year. According to a notice published on the university’s admission website this Thursday, the process is slated to commence on 3 May 2026.
This latest round of admissions follows the conclusion of the fourth phase, which took place yesterday. Current data indicates that 23 seats remain vacant across various departments. To fill these remaining slots, the university has called upon candidates within specific merit ranges to undergo document verification and medical examinations.
The verification process will be held at the University Central Auditorium from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm. The eligibility criteria for this phase are divided by department as follows:
| Department Category | Merit Range (General) |
| Engineering and Urban & Regional Planning | 3501 to 4000 |
| Architecture | 131 to 135 |
Following the verification and medical assessment, candidates must view their assigned departments on 4 May. The prescribed admission fee of 18,500 BDT must be deposited at the Sonali Bank, CUET branch, by 1:00 pm on the same day. However, candidates may deposit the fee on the day of their medical exam, provided they receive official authorisation from the university.
Candidates are required to log in to the admission portal to download and print their previously completed Online Choice Form and other dashboard-specific documents. If a candidate has not yet completed the choice form, the university will allow them to do so on the day of admission.
The following original documents must be submitted to the Audit Committee:
SSC (or equivalent) Certificate and original Transcript.
HSC (or equivalent) Registration Card and original Transcript.
Original Testimonial from the head of the last educational institution attended.
Two recent passport-sized colour photographs (taken within the last three months).
Admit Card from the admission test, bearing the invigilator’s signature.
Additionally, candidates must provide a Blood Group Report from a recognised diagnostic centre. Students who wear corrective lenses are instructed to bring their spectacles for the medical evaluation.
The university has clarified that the admission process will continue until the day of orientation, contingent on seat availability. Following the conclusion of this fifth phase, a list of successfully admitted candidates and any remaining vacancies will be published on the website by 5 May. If seats become vacant due to admission cancellations, auto-migration will be triggered based on the candidates’ merit positions and stated preferences.
The merit list for the 2025-26 session was initially published on 23 January, with the first phase of admissions commencing on 25 February.
