Jasad Demands Justice for Crimes Against Minors

The central committee of the Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Jasad) organised a human chain, protest rally, and subsequent demonstration march in the capital today, Saturday, 23 May 2026. The event was convened to demand the immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of those involved in the rape and murder of a child named Ramisa, as well as the rising incidents of violence against children, sexual abuse of madrasa students, enforced disappearances, and crimes linked to “mob justice” across the country.

Details of the Demonstration

The programme commenced at 5:00 pm in front of the Jasad party office premises near the General Post Office (GPO). Following the initial gathering and speeches, a protest march was conducted, traversing major thoroughfares including Zero Point and the Gulistan area. Throughout the procession, party activists chanted slogans against rape, murder, and the culture of “mobbing.” Furthermore, participants demanded the unconditional release of the incarcerated party president, Hasanul Haq Inu.

The rally was presided over by the Vice President of the Jasad Central Committee, Valiant Freedom Fighter Shafi Uddin Mollah, and moderated by Joint General Secretary Mohammad Mohsin.
