Karmasangsthan Bank held its scheduled Business Review Meeting-2026 on Saturday in Sylhet, bringing together the division’s complete management tier to review progress under its current 90-day special programme. The high-level conference required the mandatory attendance of all Regional Managers, Branch Managers, and Second Officers operating under the jurisdiction of the Sylhet Divisional Office.
An official institutional press release confirmed that Dr A.F.M. Matiur Rahman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Karmasangsthan Bank and a former Secretary to the Government, attended the administrative session as the chief guest.
The regional review was closely supervised by members of the bank’s central executive committee. Managing Director Arun Kumar Chowdhury and General Manager Md. Amirul Islam traveled from the head office to attend as special guests. The proceedings were formally moderated under the chairmanship of Khaled Mohammad Jahangir, the Deputy General Manager of the Sylhet Divisional Office, with additional corporate oversight provided by Manoj Roy, the Deputy General Manager of the Law, Research and Development Department of the Head Office.
In his address to the regional workforce, Chief Guest Dr A.F.M. Matiur Rahman detailed the bank’s primary credit policies, emphasizing the distribution of high-quality loans over quantity. He stated that credit allocations should be strategically directed towards building sustainable local entrepreneurs. He further issued an executive directive for all branches within the Sylhet Division to improve their overall performance metrics across all business indicators through coordinated teamwork, personal responsibility, and professional sincerity.
