A tragic incident in Madhupur upazila of Tangail district has claimed the lives of four individuals who died while attempting to rescue a goat that had fallen into an abandoned well. The victims, belonging to the Garo community, lost their lives on Saturday morning in Jola village, leaving the local area in deep mourning.
Following the incident, Fakhrul Mahbub Anam Swapan, the Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology as well as Science and Technology and the local Member of Parliament, extended support to the bereaved families. Acting on his instructions, local political and administrative representatives visited the site shortly after the tragedy.
A delegation led by Jakir Hossain Sarkar, president of the local BNP unit, inspected the affected area. On behalf of the minister, financial assistance was provided to the families of the deceased to cover funeral and burial expenses.
