Three Bangladeshi Workers Killed In Violent Clash In Malaysia

A violent altercation among co-workers in the state of Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, has left three Bangladeshi nationals dead and another critically injured. Local police have taken a 40-year-old Bangladeshi man into custody in connection with the fatal incident.

The tragedy unfolded in the Taman Linggi neighborhood, located within the Port Dickson district. According to Negeri Sembilan Police Chief Datuk Ahmad Alzafny, authorities received an urgent call from local residents at approximately 4:15 pm on Monday reporting a violent dispute inside a residential property occupied by Bangladeshi workers. Officers from the Linggi police station responded immediately to the scene, arresting the 40-year-old suspect during the initial raid.

Preliminary interrogations and evidence gathered at the residence led investigators to the nearby Soya Manggis Estate in Linggi, where police discovered two additional bodies.

Forensic examiners noted that all three deceased victims bore severe trauma and deep wounds across various parts of their bodies. Emergency responders managed to rescue a fourth Bangladeshi national found at the scene with critical injuries. The survivor was rushed to Rembau Hospital, where he remains under intensive medical care.

Initial enquiries revealed that the victims, the injured survivor, and the detained suspect were all employed by the same company and shared the same rented accommodation in Taman Linggi.

Investigating officers believe the violence was not confined to a single spot, suspecting that the altercation began inside the house before spilling over into the nearby estate area. A comprehensive forensic investigation is currently underway to reconstruct the sequence of events and ascertain what triggered the fatal confrontation.

Datuk Ahmad Alzafny confirmed that the arrested suspect has no prior criminal record in Malaysia. Police presented the suspect before the Port Dickson Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday to obtain a formal remand order to facilitate further questioning.

Malaysian authorities are officially investigating the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries the penalty for murder, although the precise motive behind the deadly clash has yet to be established.
