Bangladesh Opts to Field First in Pursuit of Historic Whitewash, Makes Five Changes to Line-up

Bangladesh stands on the cusp of creating history as they aim to secure their first-ever T20I whitewash against Pakistan in the third and final match of the series. The clash is being held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, where luck favoured Bangladesh captain Liton Das at the toss.

Choosing to field first, Liton seeks to exploit the slow and turning home conditions to Bangladesh’s full advantage. To reinforce this strategy, the team has introduced five changes to their playing eleven. Pakistan, too, has made several alterations to its line-up.

Mustafizur Rahman Taskin Ahmed

  • Pakistan Wins: 19

This marks the first time since 2016 that Bangladesh has defeated Pakistan in two consecutive T20 matches. The Tigers are eager to exact revenge after suffering a series whitewash in Lahore back in May.
