Eight Examiners Barred for Life Over SSC, HSC Evaluation Negligence

Eight examiners have been permanently relieved from all responsibilities related to public examinations under the Dhaka Education Board, due to proven negligence in evaluating answer scripts during the 2025 SSC and HSC examinations.

The decision was formalised through an official order signed by Professor S.M. Kamal Uddin Haider, Controller of Examinations of the Board, issued on Saturday, 26 July.

Background of the Disciplinary Action

The order stated that several examiners instructed candidates to fill in the OMR sections on the answer scripts themselves—a clear violation of examination protocol. Upon investigation, the allegations were substantiated, and after the matter gained traction on social media, the board took immediate action.

Notices were issued to the accused examiners, who acknowledged their misconduct and formally apologised. Despite the apologies, the board took decisive disciplinary steps to preserve the integrity of public examinations.

“Once the allegations were confirmed through investigation, appropriate action was taken. The decision was made to permanently bar the implicated teachers from any future participation in public examination activities,” the board stated.

The examiners dismissed include four from the SSC examination and four from the HSC examination.
