The deceased have been identified as Azizur Rahman, 40, and Ershad Ali, 45, both residents of Tafsidanga village within the same upazila. Both men were travelling as passengers aboard the easy-bike at the time of the fatal impact.

According to eyewitnesses, the Dhaka-bound Ruposhi Bangla express train was travelling towards Jashore when the three-wheeler ventured onto the level crossing in Krishnabati. The train struck the vehicle at high speed, completely crushing the light structure and throwing it off the tracks. Both passengers sustained catastrophic injuries and died on the spot before medical assistance could reach them.

The sound of the collision alerted nearby villagers and farmers, who rushed to the scene to assist. Local residents promptly notified the railway authorities and police, who arrived shortly afterwards to cordon off the area and initiate recovery operations.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Mamun of the Government Railway Police (GRP) station at Jashore Railway Station confirmed that officers retrieved the bodies from the crash site. The remains were subsequently prepared for transport to the morgue at Jashore General Hospital for post-mortem examinations.

Law enforcement officials stated that formal legal proceedings regarding the incident are under way, with investigations focusing on the circumstances surrounding the crossing and whether proper safety protocols were observed. The tragic deaths have cast a pall of gloom over Tafsidanga village, leaving relatives and neighbors grieving the sudden loss of the two men.
