The fatal crash occurred on Sunday evening, 25 October 2026, at the Dodaria crossing in the Rajganj area under Manirampur Upazila. The father, identified as Farooq Hossain, survived the collision but sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Ad-din Hospital in Jashore for emergency medical treatment.

According to local authorities and eyewitnesses, Farooq Hossain was riding the motorbike with his wife and infant child as passengers, heading towards their destination. The family hailed from Hanuar Manikganj village within the Rajganj area of Manirampur Upazila. As their vehicle reached the Dodaria intersection, an oncoming lorry travelling in the opposite direction crashed directly into them.

The violent impact threw the passengers onto the road. Both the woman and her child succumbed to their injuries at the scene before medical help could arrive.

Nearby residents and passers-by rushed to the spot immediately after hearing the loud crash. They rescued a critically injured Farooq Hossain from the wreckage and arranged for his swift transport to the nearby hospital, where medical staff continue to monitor his condition.

Local police personnel arrived at the scene shortly after receiving news of the tragedy. Officers recovered the bodies of the victims and managed the surrounding traffic to prevent further congestion along the thoroughfare. Police have initiated preliminary inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the collision, while efforts remain underway to identify and locate the vehicle involved.
