Muza and Sanjoy Reunite for New Single ‘Eka Eka’

US-based Bangladeshi-origin musicians Muza and Sanjoy have joined forces once again for their latest track, “Eka Eka”. Released last Friday, the new single adds another chapter to a prolific creative partnership that has previously delivered hit records including “Jhumka”, “Shei Ashate”, and “Koynare”.

The track showcases vocals by Muza, who co-wrote the lyrics alongside Sanjoy, while Sanjoy took the helm on overall music production. Accompanied by a visually striking music video directed by Hector Toro, the release features both artistes on screen. The video’s choreography was crafted by the creative trio of Meghna Chakraborty, Selena Rajan, and Ridy Sheikh. Distributed under the label Kinetic Music, the video and audio are currently available across YouTube and major global digital streaming platforms.

Over the years, the pair have developed a versatile dynamic. Their collaborative efforts frequently blur the lines between creative roles, spanning shared songwriting credits, vocal features, and joint audio production. Sanjoy has also repeatedly served as the producer behind several of Muza’s solo tracks, solidifying their reputation as a pivotal bridge between Western electronic production and South Asian pop sensibilities.

Muza first captured the attention of mainstream Bangladeshi audiences through his contemporary reimagining of “Noya Daman”, a traditional Sylheti folk song. By embedding modern synth arrangements and contemporary beats into heritage melodies, he pioneered a modern diaspora sound that resonated strongly with global listeners. He has since built a distinctive discography through consistent cross-genre collaborations.

Sanjoy Dev, known professionally as Sanjoy, has carved out a substantial niche as an electronic dance music (EDM) producer and DJ. His international portfolio includes production credits for major South Asian playback singers and pop icons such as Arijit Singh, Guru Randhawa, Sunidhi Chauhan, Jonita Gandhi, Benny Dayal, Nora Fatehi, Kona, Habib Wahid, and Xefer. Sanjoy’s reach extended into mainstream international sporting events this past June when he performed during the Canadian events for the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony, making headlines by incorporating custom apparel that paid homage to his Bangladeshi heritage on the international stage.

With “Eka Eka”, the duo continue to refine their signature fusion, pairing Muza’s vocal style with Sanjoy’s polished electronic arrangements to expand their growing international catalogue.
