Alongside law enforcement drives, the department placed strong emphasis on reducing drug demand through public engagement. Officials organised 65 anti-narcotics awareness events across educational institutions, housing projects, and religious centres. These activities featured rallies, seminars, workshops, volleyball matches, essay and art competitions, as well as screenings of anti-drug documentaries and theme songs. To foster a broader social movement against substance abuse, educational supplies and promotional materials—including school bags, notebooks, pens, geometry boxes, caps, and T-shirts—were distributed among students and local community members.
Beyond enforcement and prevention, the DNC actively supported medical treatment and rehabilitation for individuals struggling with addiction. Partnering with three licensed private rehabilitation centres in the district, the department facilitated medical care, physical therapy, and psychological counselling for 365 patients, striving to ensure their safe integration back into mainstream society.
