A devastating fire broke out in the early hours today at Sebarhat Market in Senbagh, resulting in the destruction of several operational factories and over 50 shops.

According to fire service sources, the blaze originated in the plywood factory owned by Mohib Ullah at around 12:30 am. The fire rapidly spread to adjacent factories and shops, reducing them to ashes.
Five firefighting engines, supported by personnel from the Bangladesh Army and local residents, battled the flames for approximately three hours before bringing the situation under control.

Local businessmen have reported losses estimated to be worth several hundred crore taka due to the extensive damage caused by the fire.
However, the Assistant Director of Noakhali Fire Service and Civil Defence stated that the official cause of the fire and the total extent of damage have yet to be confirmed.
