Teachers from private educational institutions who are listed under the Monthly Pay Order (MPO) scheme are holding a massive rally in front of the National Press Club, demanding nationalisation and other benefits. After the rally, the teachers plan to march towards the Secretariat. As a result, traffic has been suspended on both sides of Topkhana Road, with vehicles being diverted to alternative routes.
The teachers have declared that they will not leave the area until their demands are met. The programme began at around 10:00 AM on Wednesday (13 August) in front of the National Press Club.

The DMP has also reiterated a request to the public and participants to refrain from obstructing roads under the guise of protest or demands, in order to prevent disruption to traffic.
