Following his return from Thailand, where he underwent eye treatment, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has once again fallen ill and was admitted to a hospital late at night.
According to the BNP Media Cell, he was admitted to a private hospital in the capital at around 1:00 am on Tuesday, 19 August.
Mirza Fakhrul had previously travelled to Bangkok on 13 May for eye treatment, where he underwent successful surgery on his left eye at Rutnin Eye Hospital on 14 May. Following medical advice, he remained under rest for more than two weeks before returning home on 7 June.
His recent hospitalisation marks a continuation of his ongoing health concerns following multiple medical visits abroad for eye treatment.
