Apu and Shakib to Take Son Joy to Singapore for School Admission

Bangladeshi film actress Apu Biswas has revealed plans to send her son Abram Khan Joy abroad for education. The actress recently confirmed that she will be taking Joy to Singapore and enrolling him in a school there.

In a previous interview last year, Apu had indicated her intention to send Joy abroad for his studies. She indirectly referenced past negative media coverage concerning disputes with fellow actress Bubli and her separation from actor Shakib Khan as contributing factors to this decision.

Both of Shakib Khan’s children, Joy and Bir, were previously enrolled in the same English-medium school in Dhaka. Following a series of negative incidents, Apu decided to withdraw Joy from that institution.

Apu Biswas confirmed in a recent interview that she, along with Joy, will travel to Singapore, and both parents may accompany him. She stated: “Joy will be enrolled in a school in Singapore, and he will continue his studies there. We will stay in the country for some time.”

She added that the decision had been made in consultation with Joy’s father, Shakib Khan, and they intend to complete the admission process soon.

Apu emphasized that, in Joy’s eyes, his father is not merely a celebrity but a parent, and the focus is on providing him with a stable and conducive learning environment. She noted: “This matter was discussed only between me and Joy’s father. I’m not sure how the news became public, as I generally prefer to keep such matters private.”

While she confirmed Joy’s school admission in Singapore, Apu did not specify whether Shakib Khan will establish a permanent residence there, leaving the matter private.

In April 2025, Apu visited Singapore with Joy to familiarise him with the country and its schooling options. All arrangements for his enrolment appear to have been carefully planned in advance.
