Earlier this month, it was reported that the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) elections would take place in the first week of October. At that time, a specific date had not been officially confirmed. Last week, the BCB formed a three-member election commission to oversee the upcoming polls. It has now been confirmed that the BCB Board of Directors election will be held on 4 October. The final schedule for nomination collection and submission is yet to be announced.
According to the Board’s constitution and regulations, the responsibility to conduct and complete the election was entrusted to Senior Advocate Mohammad Hossain of the Bangladesh Supreme Court, appointed as the Chief Election Commissioner.
He confirmed to Dhaka Post today (Sunday) that the elections will indeed be held on 4 October, with formal activities beginning from 20 September.
Although minor adjustments may occur, the draft schedule is as follows:
