In the past 24 hours, dengue has claimed the lives of six more people in Bangladesh, while 647 new patients have been admitted to hospitals due to the disease.
This information was released on Thursday, 18 September, by the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

As of this year, a total of 40,461 patients have been admitted with dengue, of whom 38,252 have recovered and been discharged. Tragically, 167 patients have succumbed to the disease.
