Actress Tasnuva Tisha was involved in a road accident while returning to Dhaka after completing a drama shoot in Sreemangal. She and the members of her team are believed to have escaped without suffering any major harm, although the incident left them shaken.
Tisha herself disclosed details of the accident through a live broadcast on her Facebook account at around 12:45am on Sunday. Speaking about what happened, she said she had been travelling towards Dhaka by car with members of her team after finishing their shooting schedule in Sreemangal.
According to the actress, the incident occurred after they had crossed the Bhairab Bridge. As their vehicle approached an area near the toll plaza, a pickup truck collided with their car. The impact was serious enough to alarm everyone inside the vehicle, but there was no immediate indication of any major injury.
The situation became more complicated when the pickup reportedly left the scene soon after the collision. Rather than remaining at the location, the vehicle sped away, prompting Tisha and the others accompanying her to pursue it.
The actress said they followed the pickup on a motorcycle and eventually managed to stop it. Police also arrived at the scene following the incident, according to Tisha’s account during the live broadcast.
Describing the experience, Tisha said the accident had been a particularly frightening one and that they had narrowly escaped a much more serious outcome. Her comments suggested that the collision could have resulted in significant consequences had circumstances been different.
Road accidents remain a serious concern for people travelling on Bangladesh’s highways, particularly at night when visibility, traffic conditions and the behaviour of other vehicles can increase risks. Long-distance journeys following extended work schedules can also be physically demanding for drivers and passengers alike. In the entertainment industry, actors and production crews frequently travel between Dhaka and locations outside the capital for filming, making road safety an important concern during such journeys.
However, details about the exact circumstances of the collision, including the extent of damage to the vehicles and whether any formal action was taken against the pickup driver, were not immediately available.
Attempts were reportedly made to contact Tisha after the accident, but she did not answer her phone. As a result, there was no immediate confirmation of whether she or any member of her team sustained injuries.
