One of Bangladesh’s leading and most popular heavy metal and progressive rock bands, Artcell, is set to return to live stage performances after a hiatus of ten months. Renowned for maintaining a demanding year-round schedule of domestic and international concerts, the band had not made any definitive concert announcements for the past six months. Artcell’s last live appearance took place during their tour of Australia in November of last year. This extended absence from the stage will conclude this September when the band launches a musical tour in Canada.
The international musical tour is scheduled to officially commence on 13 September in Vancouver, Canada. Iqbal Asif Jewel, one of the band’s guitarists, confirmed that discussions with local organisers are currently underway to arrange further concerts in major Canadian cities, including Toronto and Calgary. The finalised itinerary will be published on Artcell’s official institutional Facebook page as soon as the schedule is confirmed. During this special tour, the band plans to perform a selection of their new compositions alongside their classic, popular repertoire.
Explaining the reasons behind their prolonged absence from the live circuit, Iqbal Asif Jewel stated that the mother of the band’s lead vocalist, Lincoln, passed away immediately following the conclusion of the Australian tour last November. Following this period of family bereavement, Lincoln travelled to the United States to stay with his brother. Alongside this primary factor, Artcell temporarily suspended their stage activities due to various internal and technical reasons. Lincoln is currently residing in Canada, where he is progressing negotiations with local concert organisers. Furthermore, the band’s bass guitarist, Cezanne, will travel directly from Australia to join the lineup for this tour. Given the enthusiastic reception received during their previous tour of Canada, the band anticipates a similarly positive experience this time.
The complete lineup of active members who will participate in the upcoming Canadian tour, along with their primary roles within the band, is detailed in the table below:
| Serial No. | Member Name | Primary Role / Responsibility |
| 1 | Lincoln | Lead Vocalist and Guitarist |
| 2 | Shaju | Drummer / Percussion Controller |
| 3 | Jewel | Lead Guitarist |
| 4 | Faisal | Lead Guitarist |
| 5 | Cezanne | Bass Guitarist |
Prior to embarking on their Australian tour last November, Artcell released two tracks from their new Extended Play (EP) album, titled Choturthangsho (The Fourth Quarter). Released in October last year, the two tracks were titled O Akash (Oh Sky) and Ekti Notun Gaan (A New Song). Two additional songs from the same EP, titled Biday Kibhabe Janai (How Do I Say Goodbye) and Jani Bhul Korechi (I Know I Have Erred), are currently awaiting official release.
In accordance with the band’s official plans, following the complete release of these four tracks, they intend to produce a special documentary titled The Making of Choturthangsho. This video documentary will highlight the behind-the-scenes processes, creative journey, lyrical compositions, and recording experiences that shaped the tracks, sharing these untold narratives directly with their audience. With the complete lineup assembling for the Canadian tour, Artcell aims to re-establish their active presence in the music industry through a combination of their new and classic material.
