Speaking to the press, Md. Salahuddin Ayubi emphasised that such operations would continue to keep the prices of essential commodities within reach of ordinary consumers. “Any overcharging or irregularity will result in strict legal action against the offenders,” he warned.

Local shoppers welcomed the authorities’ initiative, noting that it provided immediate relief in the cost of daily necessities.
