Al Amin (40), a popular content creator from Gauripur in Mymensingh, suffered severe burns two days ago while attempting to film a fire sequence using petrol. He is now in critical condition at the burn unit of BIRDEM Hospital in Dhaka.

Last Friday, he was filming a scene at an artificial reservoir near Dariyapur’s brickfield area, where he planned to bathe while warming himself near flames. Excess petrol poured into the water caused the fire to rise far higher than expected, engulfing his body. According to his assistants, 35–40 percent of his body has been burnt.

He was rescued and initially taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, before being referred to the burn unit of BIRDEM for advanced treatment. Video footage shows him jumping into the water in an attempt to escape the flames, but he could not avoid serious injury.

Content commentator Azad Hossain Jony said he is currently in the CCU under close monitoring and doctors are making every effort. His assistant Subal Chandra Adhikari has requested prayers from people across the country. The incident has spread widely on social media, with many posting prayers for his recovery.
