Five-Member Probe Committee Formed over Korail Slum Fire

A five-member investigation committee has been formed by the Fire Service and Civil Defence to probe the fire incident at Korail slum. The committee has been instructed to submit its report within 15 working days.

The information was confirmed on Wednesday by Shahjahan Shikder, Media Officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence.

He stated that the five-member committee has been constituted to investigate the Korail fire and has been asked to submit its findings within the designated timeframe.

The committee is headed by Md Mamunur Rashid, Deputy Director (Operations and Maintenance) of the Fire Service and Civil Defence. The other members are Assistant Director Kazi Nazmuzzaman, Deputy Assistant Director of Dhaka Zone-2 Atish Chakma, Senior Station Officer of Tejgaon Md Nazim Uddin, and Warehouse Inspector of Dhaka-23 Md Sohrab Hossain.
