The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health has confirmed that at least four individuals were killed following Israeli military strikes in eastern Lebanon. According to official statements, the casualties occurred in the town of Zellaya, located within the Western Beqaa District. The ministry specified that the deceased included two women and an elderly man.
In addition to the fatalities, the air strike resulted in injuries to five other individuals. Medical reports indicate that three of the wounded are children, highlighting the impact on the civilian population in the residential areas of the Beqaa Valley. Emergency services were deployed to the site to transport the injured to nearby medical facilities for urgent treatment.
Simultaneous to the activity in eastern Lebanon, the National News Agency (NNA) reported a series of military operations conducted by Israeli forces in the southern governorates. The Tyre District faced significant aerial and artillery bombardment. Specifically, Israeli aircraft targeted the villages of Alma al-Shaab and Tair Harfa, causing structural damage, though specific casualty figures for these locations were not immediately released.
Furthermore, the NNA detailed intensified artillery shelling on the southern outskirts of Tyre. The areas of Majdal Zoun, Beit Al-Sayad, and the peripheries of Al-Mansouri were subjected to repeated rounds of fire. These locations have been frequent flashpoints during the ongoing cross-border hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah.
The following table provides a breakdown of the documented strikes and their immediate consequences based on reports from the Lebanese health and news authorities:
| Location | Province/District | Type of Action | Casualties Reported |
| Zellaya | Western Beqaa | Air Strike | 4 Dead (2 women, 1 elderly man), 5 Injured |
| Alma al-Shaab | Tyre District | Air Strike | Property damage; no confirmed casualties |
| Tair Harfa | Tyre District | Air Strike | Property damage; no confirmed casualties |
| Majdal Zoun | Tyre District | Artillery Shelling | Under assessment |
| Beit Al-Sayad | Tyre District | Artillery Shelling | Under assessment |
| Al-Mansouri | Tyre District | Artillery Shelling | Under assessment |
The strikes in Zellaya represent a continuation of the expansion of military targets beyond the immediate border zone into the Lebanese interior. The Beqaa Valley, where Zellaya is situated, serves as a strategic corridor, and strikes in this region often signify an intensification of the conflict.
The Lebanese National News Agency noted that the shelling in the outskirts of Al-Mansouri and surrounding villages has disrupted local livelihoods and led to further displacement of residents. While the Israeli military frequently asserts that it targets infrastructure belonging to armed groups, the Lebanese Ministry of Health maintains that the presence of women, children, and the elderly among the victims in Zellaya underscores the humanitarian toll of the current engagement.
Local authorities remain on high alert as the frequency of sorties and artillery exchanges across the Blue Line—the UN-demarcated border—continues to rise, with both sides maintaining high levels of military readiness.
