Bayern Munich’s clash with Stuttgart at the MHP Arena on Saturday night will be remembered for one thing above all: Harry Kane’s scintillating hat-trick off the bench. Introduced in the 60th minute, Kane made an immediate impact, scoring three goals in just 27 minutes to guide Bayern to a resounding 5-1 victory.
Bayern opened the scoring early when Konrad Laimer struck in the 10th minute, flicking in Michaël Cuisance’s cross past Stuttgart goalkeeper Alexander Nubel. Stuttgart attempted to respond, most notably with Nicholas Nartey’s header just before half-time, which was disallowed for offside.
Vincent Kompany’s decision to bring Kane on for Nicholas Jackson proved decisive. Kane’s first goal, a low drive from 25 yards, came in the 66th minute and immediately put Bayern in control. Shortly afterward, Josip Stanišić, also a substitute, extended the lead to 3-0, making the outcome almost inevitable.
The drama escalated in the 80th minute when Stuttgart defender Lorenz Assignon received a straight red card for handling the ball, allowing Kane to score his second goal via a calm penalty. The England captain completed his hat-trick in the 87th minute with a precise finish from a Cuisance cross.
This performance marks Kane’s third hat-trick of the Bundesliga season, bringing his total to 28 goals across all competitions in 22 appearances. Bayern Munich now sit atop the Bundesliga with 37 points from 13 games, while Stuttgart, despite their efforts, are sixth with 22 points.
Kane’s display underlines his ability to completely alter the dynamics of a match from the bench. His clinical finishing, intelligent movement, and composure under pressure make him one of the most formidable forwards in Europe. Bayern Munich will now look to build on this momentum as they pursue both domestic and European glory this season.
