Hridoy Khan Announces ‘Hahakar’ Release

Bangladeshi singer, composer, and music director Hridoy Khan is set to release a new solo song titled ‘Hahakar’ after a considerable gap in his individual music releases. The upcoming track marks his return to standalone musical work following a period of reduced activity in releasing single songs.

The lyrics of ‘Hahakar’ have been written by lyricist Someshwar Oli, who has been associated with contemporary Bangladeshi music in recent years. The composition and music arrangement have been completed by Hridoy Khan himself, continuing his established practice of overseeing both the musical creation and production aspects of his songs.

The song is scheduled for official release on 24 April and will be published through Hridoy Khan’s own YouTube channel. According to the artist, despite his reduced frequency of releasing new music in recent years, audience engagement and interest in his work have remained consistent. He stated that listeners had repeatedly expressed interest in new releases and in the style of music that contributed to his recognition in the industry. He further noted that ‘Hahakar’ was developed in response to such expectations, with an emphasis on retaining the melodic characteristics associated with his earlier works while presenting them in a refreshed arrangement. He also expressed the expectation that the release would meet audience demand.

Alongside his music career, Hridoy Khan has also been active in filmmaking. Earlier this year, he released a short film titled ‘Trapped’ on his official YouTube channel. In that project, he served as both director and lead actor. The film featured model and actress Monalisa in a principal role opposite him.

The production of ‘Trapped’ extended over approximately four years before its release on 16 January. This extended timeline was associated with the development and refinement process of the project prior to publication.

The film also included a song titled ‘Shada Kalo’, which was performed, composed, and arranged by Hridoy Khan. In addition to his musical contributions, he also directed the visual presentation of the project. Cinematography for the short film was handled by Ali Afroze Arnob.
