An international musical collaboration has culminated in the release of a new single titled “Moner Paray”, featuring the vocals of prominent Indian singer Shubhamita Banerjee alongside Bangladeshi singer-songwriter Ekon Babu, who currently resides in France. In addition to performing as a co-artist on the track, Ekon Babu penned the lyrics and composed the melody for the song. The musical arrangement for the track was crafted by Palash, a music arranger hailing from Assam, India.

The accompanying music video marked a notable professional milestone, being directed by Bangladeshi singer and composer Pijit. This production represents Pijit’s debut assignment as a music video director. The visual components of the project were filmed across multiple global locations, with shooting schedules completed in Dhaka, Chittagong, Kolkata, and Paris. The completed music video was recently released to the public on the official YouTube channel named “Ekon Babu Official”.

The director of the music video, Pijit, shared details regarding his involvement in the project and his professional acquaintance with the lead female vocalist. He noted that Shubhamita Banerjee has long been one of his favourite artists. Pijit initially met and became acquainted with her through his previous professional engagements and collaborative work with the veteran Indian singer-songwriter Nachiketa Chakraborty. He stated that Shubhamita’s lifelong dedication and devotion to music have consistently inspired him. Consequently, when he was approached with the formal proposal to direct the music video for this cross-border track, he accepted the responsibility with great pleasure.

The visual narrative of the music video features a dedicated cast of models, including Sajjat, Shetu, and Mitul. The technical and creative team behind the production included Sarwar Sakil, who managed the choreography for the performers. The cinematography was handled by Seoul Babu, while Upal was responsible for capturing the specific visual sequences and scenes filmed on location in Kolkata, India.

Reflecting on the completion of the project, France-based Bangladeshi artist Ekon Babu described the song as a personal dream. He revealed that after the initial vocal tracking and audio recording phases were successfully finished, the project experienced a prolonged delay. The production was temporarily halted because he was initially unable to decide on the right director to execute the visual concept for the music video. The impasse was resolved when Pijit initiated contact with Shubhamita, took full responsibility for the visual production, and managed the subsequent filming process. Ekon Babu expressed total satisfaction with the final outcome, noting that their collective efforts resulted in an excellent song.

Shubhamita Banerjee also shared her perspectives on the joint venture, highlighting that the final product was the result of a coordinated effort involving artists and technicians from both West Bengal and Bangladesh. She stated her firm belief that the long-standing dedication and hard work of everyone involved ultimately yielded a high-quality song. Furthermore, Shubhamita expressed her profound appreciation for the decision to officially dedicate the track to the members of the military forces.
