Inu Jailed 30 Years, To Serve 10

Former Bangladesh Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu has been sentenced to a total of 30 years’ imprisonment after being convicted on eight charges by the International Crimes Tribunal-2. As the sentences are to run concurrently, he will serve an effective prison term of 10 years.

The verdict was delivered on Tuesday (30 June) by a three-member bench of International Crimes Tribunal-2, headed by Justice Nazrul Islam Chowdhury. The other members of the bench were Justice Md Monjurul Bashid and Justice Nur Mohammad Shahriar Kabir.

Hasanul Haq Inu was the sole accused in the case.
