Candidates must hold relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degrees from recognised institutions. Professional certifications such as Chartered Accountancy (CA) or Cost and Management Accountancy (CMA) are required where applicable. A strict academic standard has been set: applicants must not have any third division or equivalent GPA/CGPA at any stage of their education.
The upper age limit for applicants is 62 years, reflecting the seniority and experience required for these posts.

Successful candidates will be appointed on a contractual basis, beginning with a one-year probationary period during which performance will be closely assessed. Upon satisfactory completion, candidates may be offered an extension of up to two additional years. Final appointment is subject to medical fitness certification and the submission of a non-judicial stamp undertaking.
