Culture reflects the way of life. The culture of a country is its backbone. The role of culture in national progress is immense. It teaches a generation humanity, patriotism, and love for the country. Bangladesh has a long and rich cultural heritage, yet for various reasons, the younger generation is becoming indifferent to culture. Against this backdrop, the new initiative ‘Tara’ is set to formally begin its journey to make the youth culturally inclined towards Bengali traditions.

Under the slogan Glow and Live Inspired, the journey of ‘Tara’ will officially commence on 28 November at Cafe 138 East, Gulshan Avenue, through the cultural programme titled “Tara Unplugged.”

The organisers stated, “Tara is not just a cultural event; it is a movement where genuine art, culture, emotion, and humanity will inspire the younger generation towards Bengali culture. Young artists will motivate their peers through this initiative. We would like to emphasise that art, music, history, heritage, and mutual cooperation create real bonds among people. You can participate physically or support mentally to help attract the younger generation to Bengali culture.”

The inaugural event will feature a two-hour special musical performance starting at 7:30 pm. Performers include Moji and Core Shubhendu Das Shuvo and Sanjida Mahmud Nandita, known for their acoustic synergy and poetic presentations. Contemporary popular young singer Animesh Rai will also perform on stage.

Next year, ‘Tara’ plans to bring cultural festivals, corporate exhibitions, creative social gatherings, and other themed events. Each programme will carry Tara’s unique emotion, creativity, and aesthetic touch.
