Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman has been delivering consistent performances in the International League T20, playing a key role for Dubai Capitals in their last two matches. Across these games, he has taken four wickets while conceding only 48 runs, with 24 dot balls from a total of 42 deliveries.
On Saturday in Dubai, despite a defeat against Gulf Giants, Mustafizur picked up two wickets for just 26 runs in four overs, including 13 dot balls. He followed it up with another impressive spell on Sunday against Abu Dhabi Knight Riders.
In an emphatic 83-run victory, the left-arm seamer finished with figures of two wickets for 22 runs in three overs, delivering 11 dot balls. Altogether, his accuracy and control stood out as batters struggled to score off him.
Dubai Capitals posted 186 for four at the Dubai International Stadium before bowling Abu Dhabi Knight Riders out for 103 in 15.3 overs. Opener Phil Salt top-scored for Abu Dhabi with 27 runs before falling to Mustafizur, who also dismissed Unmukt Chand for a duck.
This win marked Dubai Capitals’ first victory of the tournament, with Rovman Powell leading the way with a blistering 96 off 52 balls.
