Student Politics Committees Formed in 18 Halls of Dhaka University Despite Official Ban

Despite the prohibition on student politics in residential halls of the University of Dhaka since 17 July 2024, the Dhaka University chapter of Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chhatra Dal (BNP’s student wing) has announced new convening committees for 18 halls under the university.

On Friday, 8 August, the president of the DU Chhatra Dal, Ganesh Chandra Roy Sahas, and general secretary Nahiduzzaman Shipon approved the convening committees for the 18 hall units.
