The humanitarian cost of the escalating conflict between Tehran and Jerusalem continues to rise as Israeli health officials confirmed a second fatality from a sophisticated Iranian cluster missile strike. The victim, who had been fighting for his life in a critical condition since Monday morning, succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday. A crane operator at the site provided a harrowing account to the Haaretz newspaper, describing the frantic moments as sirens wailed. "I waited to safely disconnect the load before descending the crane, which took precious minutes," he recalled. After reaching the ground and sprinting for a subterranean car park, a deafening blast rocked the foundations. "Ten seconds later, I emerged to find them both on the ground. I cannot understand why they didn't seek cover."

Major General Shai Klapper, head of the IDF Home Front Command, noted that while dozens of workers were saved by reaching reinforced shelters in time, those caught in the open had virtually no protection against the fragmentation.

Military analysts suggest that while a cluster bomb lacks the sheer "block-buster" power of a 500kg TNT warhead, its ability to saturate a five-mile radius makes it a terror weapon for civilian infrastructure.

"The damage to this home proves that even though these bomblets are smaller, they are capable of total devastation.
