Modhumoti Bank PLC has signed a partnership agreement with Hyatt Place Dhaka Uttara aimed at offering exclusive hospitality benefits to the bank’s cardholders. The agreement was formally concluded at the hotel premises in Dhaka, according to a press release issued by the bank.

The collaboration is designed to strengthen the relationship between the banking and hospitality sectors while delivering enhanced lifestyle privileges to customers. Through the arrangement, Modhumoti Bank intends to provide its cardholders with access to premium services and attractive discounts at one of the capital’s well-known international hotel establishments.

Senior executives from both organisations attended the signing ceremony. Representing Modhumoti Bank were Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Md Shafiul Azam, Additional Managing Director Shahnawaj Chowdhury, and Deputy Managing Director and Chief Business Officer Arab Fazlur Rahman. Several other senior officials from the bank were also present at the event.

Hyatt Place Dhaka Uttara was represented by its General Manager Thomas Kevin McIntyre and Sales and Marketing Director Mezbah Uddin, along with other members of the hotel’s management team. The participation of senior leaders from both sides highlighted the importance of the partnership and their shared commitment to delivering improved services for customers.

Under the terms of the agreement, holders of Modhumoti Bank debit and credit cards will be eligible to enjoy discounts of up to fifty per cent on a range of services offered by Hyatt Place Dhaka Uttara. The benefits are expected to include promotional offers on dining facilities, accommodation packages, and certain hotel services, subject to applicable conditions and availability.

Officials from Modhumoti Bank stated that the partnership forms part of the bank’s broader strategy to strengthen customer engagement through value-added services. By collaborating with reputable hospitality providers, the bank seeks to enhance the overall experience of its cardholders and encourage greater utilisation of its payment products.

Meanwhile, representatives from Hyatt Place Dhaka Uttara expressed confidence that the agreement would help the hotel attract a wider customer base, particularly among corporate clients and business travellers who frequently use banking card privileges when selecting accommodation and dining options.

Experts in the financial services sector note that partnerships between banks and hotels have grown increasingly common in recent years.
