Bangladesh has slipped six positions in the global ranking of the world’s most powerful passports, according to the latest report from UK-based consultancy Henley & Partners.
As per the updated list released on Tuesday, Bangladesh now ranks 100th out of 106 countries, sharing the position with North Korea.
Henley & Partners updates this ranking every three months; in July, Bangladesh had been placed 94th, indicating a noticeable decline in the past few months.
Currently, Bangladeshi passport holders can travel visa-free to 38 countries. These include:
Bahamas, Barbados, Bhutan, Bolivia, British Virgin Islands, Burundi, Cambodia, Cape Verde Islands, Comoros Islands, Cook Islands, Djibouti, Dominica, Fiji, Grenada, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Madagascar, Maldives, Micronesia, Montserrat, Mozambique, Nepal, New Zealand, Rwanda, Samoa, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, The Gambia, Timor-Leste, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Vanuatu.
In Henley & Partners’ October ranking, only six countries are placed below Bangladesh:

Singapore leads the world, allowing its citizens to travel to 193 countries visa-free, followed by South Korea (190) and Japan (189). Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain, and Switzerland occupy fourth place, while Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, and the Netherlands rank fifth.
