Asaka Celebrates Her Tenth Anniversary with New Songs and a Cover Album

Asaka, one of Japan’s prominent anime vocalists, has entered the tenth anniversary of her musical career. To commemorate the milestone, she has planned a three-month series of digital single releases. After unveiling the first track, Hakanai Rensa, in October, she released the second track, Christmas☆Parade, digitally on 5 November. The festive tone and musical arrangement of the song quickly captured listeners’ attention. Its music video, released simultaneously on her official YouTube channel, also gained notable popularity.

Asaka stated that she hopes to celebrate this important year together with her fans. Alongside new music, she chose to pay tribute to earlier musical eras through her first cover album, Sing That SONG!!, which is set to be released on 28 January 2026. The album features seven tracks, including re-imagined versions of well-known Japanese pop songs from the 1970s and 1980s. Additionally, she has provided her own interpretation of Lion, the opening theme of the anime Macross Frontier.

Her musical journey began in April 2016, with her professional debut following in October of the same year while she was in her second year of high school. She soon secured a place in the anime-music scene, where many of her anime and game theme songs gained considerable popularity. Songs from the Laid-Back Camp anime series especially helped establish her reputation among fans.

A summary of her discography is given below:

Release Type Quantity
CD singles 16
Full albums 3
Mini-albums 1
Upcoming cover album 1 (Sing That SONG!!)

Although she remains occupied with her anniversary projects, Asaka has expressed her intention to continue exploring a broader range of anime and pop music in the future.
