City Bank has appointed Mizanur Rashid as its new Deputy Managing Director. Rashid brings over 30 years of diverse experience in fintech and consumer packaged goods sectors. He has a proven track record in business growth and sustainable development.
Previously, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at bKash Limited, where he played a key role in building a robust digital payment ecosystem for the company and its customers. Under his leadership, the organisation achieved significant milestones in digital payments.
Earlier, he held senior positions at Unilever in Bangladesh, India and the subcontinent region. He also contributed to various roles at British American Tobacco in Bangladesh. This extensive experience has strengthened his expertise in corporate strategy, business development and digital transformation.
City Bank believes that Rashid’s vast experience and strategic skills will accelerate the bank’s digital transformation. His leadership will be crucial in establishing the bank as a modern, technology-driven institution.
Mizanur Rashid holds an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at the University of Dhaka. His knowledge and experience are expected to support the bank in achieving its new goals.
