Inspector Abdul Bariq confirmed that cases have been filed against all 22 individuals under relevant drug control and theft laws. “Several of the arrested individuals have prior records for drug offences and theft. Our operation was aimed at both curbing illegal drug distribution and enhancing public safety in high-risk areas,” he said.

All arrested suspects were presented before the Narayanganj court on Sunday. Authorities emphasised that these coordinated operations are part of a broader campaign to combat organised crime and street theft, and to restore a sense of security among local residents.

The Siddhirganj Police have stated that ongoing intelligence-led operations will continue to target hotspots for drug trafficking and street crimes, aiming to dismantle criminal networks that have long plagued the area.
