Royal Enfield Unveils Nine New Colours in Bangladesh

To celebrate a triumphant first year in the domestic market, IFAD Motors has launched a series of vibrant new colour schemes and enhanced technical specifications for the iconic Royal Enfield brand. The announcement was made during a gala event titled “The New Chapter Begins,” held on Monday, 16 February 2026, at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka.

The event was attended by the top brass of IFAD Group, including Chairman Iftekhar Ahmed, alongside Vice-Chairmen Tanveer Ahmed, Taskeen Ahmed, and Tasfin Ahmed, and Managing Director Reazul Haque Chowdhury. The gathering also drew representatives from major corporate houses, banks, and the burgeoning local motorcycle community.

Celebrating One Year with a Local Twist

A highlight of the anniversary celebration is the introduction of the “Bangladesh Anniversary Edition” of the Classic 350. In a poetic nod to the nation’s geography and heritage, IFAD Motors unveiled four region-inspired colours for the Classic 350 series. Additionally, the Meteor 350 line-up has been expanded with four distinct variants—Fireball, Stellar, Aurora, and Supernova—available in five new hues.

Model Series Variant / Edition Key Features Pricing (Approx.)
Classic 350 Bangladesh Anniversary Ed. Dhaka Amber, Cumilla Black, Rajshahi Red, Sundarban Green 448,000 BDT
Meteor 350 Fireball Dual-channel ABS, Rear Disc Brake 486,000 BDT
Meteor 350 Stellar / Aurora Enhanced Chrome, Retro Styling Varies
Meteor 350 Supernova Assisted Slip Clutch, Premium Windshield 523,000 BDT

Note: A limited anniversary discount of 10,000 BDT is currently available on select units.

Technical Enhancements and Market Impact

Beyond aesthetics, the 2026 variants bring significant mechanical upgrades. The Meteor 350 series now features an assisted slip clutch for smoother gear transitions, while the entry-level Fireball series has been upgraded with dual-channel ABS and rear disc brakes for superior safety.

Vice-Chairman Taskeen Ahmed reflected on the brand’s rapid ascent, noting that Royal Enfield has secured over 14,000 “riding partners” (owners) within its first year. He highlighted that the brand fills a 25-year void in the Bangladeshi market for high-performance highway cruising motorcycles.

Investment and Manufacturing

IFAD Motors’ commitment to the brand is underscored by a 200-crore BDT investment in a state-of-the-art assembly plant in Chauddagram, Cumilla. Spanning eight acres, the facility has a production capacity of 30,000 units per year. While the engines are imported, most other components are assembled locally, contributing to the domestic manufacturing sector and providing employment.

With over 1 million Royal Enfields sold globally last year across 80 countries, the brand’s expansion in Bangladesh—now boasting 22 showrooms—marks a significant milestone in the country’s premium automotive journey.
