Bangladesh has climbed two spots in the global passport rankings, now standing at 93rd in the 2026 Henley & Partners Passport Index, up from 95th last year. According to the latest report, holders of Bangladeshi passports can now travel to 37 countries without requiring a visa in advance. Some of these destinations offer on-arrival visas at airports or e-visa facilities, providing greater flexibility for travellers.
Bangladeshi passport holders can travel visa-free or with visa-on-arrival/e-visa options to the following countries and territories:
| Region/Continent | Countries/Territories (Visa-Free / On-Arrival) |
|---|---|
| Caribbean | Bahamas, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, Montserrat |
| Africa | Burundi, Comoros, Djibouti, Gambia, Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique, Rwanda, Seychelles, Sierra Leone |
| Asia | Bhutan, Cambodia, Maldives, Micronesia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Timor-Leste |
| Oceania | British Virgin Islands, Cook Islands, Kiribati, Samoa, Tuvalu, Vanuatu |

This expanded access provides Bangladeshi travellers with new opportunities for tourism, business, and cultural exchange across diverse regions, from the tropical beaches of the Caribbean and Oceania to the mountainous landscapes of Asia and Africa.
The Henley & Partners Passport Index continues to highlight the strength of passports worldwide. Singapore retained its position as the most powerful passport in Asia and globally. Japan and South Korea jointly occupy second place, while Sweden and the United Arab Emirates share third place.
European nations dominate the fourth and fifth positions, with Belgium, Luxembourg, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, and Switzerland ranking fourth. Austria, Greece, Malta, and Portugal are in fifth place, while sixth place is shared by Hungary, Malaysia, New Zealand, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia.
The steady rise of the Bangladeshi passport in this ranking reflects the country’s growing international connectivity and the increasing ease of global travel for its citizens, offering new avenues for exploration and economic opportunities.
