UCB Bank Launches Women-Focused “AIMA” Loan Scheme

United Commercial Bank (UCB) has introduced a specialised, women-focused banking initiative, “AIMA”, aimed at enhancing financial empowerment and self-reliance among women across Bangladesh. The programme enables female clients to access loans for car purchases, home construction or renovation, business expansion, personal expenses, and other approved purposes. The scheme allows loans of up to BDT 50 million, reflecting UCB’s commitment to supporting women in multiple financial spheres.

Car Loan Facility

Under the AIMA Car Loan programme, women can borrow up to BDT 400,000 or 50% of the vehicle’s value, whichever is lower. Repayment terms extend up to five years. Applicants must be registered under the AIMA service to qualify.

Business Expansion and Entrepreneurial Loans

Personal Loans: Up to BDT 2 million, fully unsecured
