NRBC Bank PLC has signed a remittance distribution agreement with BRAC Saajan Exchange Ltd, United Kingdom, to enhance the flow of remittances from expatriate Bangladeshis to beneficiaries in Bangladesh through formal banking channels.
A press release from NRBC Bank PLC stated that the signing ceremony was held on Monday (20 April 2026) at the bank’s head office.
The agreement was signed by Dr Md Touhidul Alam Khan, FCMA, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NRBC Bank PLC, representing the bank, and Abdus Salam, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of BRAC Saajan Exchange Limited, UK, representing the exchange house.
Under this agreement, Bangladeshi expatriates living in different countries will be able to send remittances safely and promptly to their beneficiaries in Bangladesh. The funds will be disbursed through NRBC Bank PLC’s nationwide network, including all branches and sub-branches. The arrangement is intended to ensure that remittance services remain accessible through regulated banking systems while improving the speed and reliability of fund transfers.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from both organisations. From NRBC Bank PLC, attendees included Mohammad Abdul Qaium Khan, Deputy Managing Director; Hasnat Reza Mohibbul Alam, Head of International Division; Md Abdul Gafur Raana, Head of Treasury; and representatives of the bank’s Islamic Window, including Al Amin. From BRAC Saajan Exchange Ltd, UK, Md Marzanur Rahman, Head of Operations, and Kallol Biswas, Manager (Operations), were also present, along with other senior officials.
