Prominent Bangladeshi singer and composer Miftah Zaman is set to make a long-awaited return to the stage, hosting his second solo concert following a two-year hiatus. Titled ‘Othopor Odhora’, the evening performance will take place on 25 September at the National Art Gallery Auditorium of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in Dhaka. The musical event promises an immersive experience, blending his widely acclaimed original tracks with timeless classic hits.
The upcoming show marks a significant milestone in Zaman’s career. His debut solo venture took place on 5 July 2024 at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) Auditorium in the capital, attracting a broad audience of devoted listeners. Returning to a dedicated solo format after two years, the artist has designed a setlist curated to evoke both nostalgia and contemporary appeal.
Attendees can expect live renditions of Zaman’s signature releases, including ‘Chiro Odhora’, ‘Tai Tomar Kheyal’, and ‘Praptishunno’. To complement his original repertoire, he will pay homage to the Golden Era of music by performing celebrated vintage classics such as ‘Hoyto Tomari Jonno’, ‘Ki Name Deke Bolbo Tomake’, and ‘Ami Cheye Cheye Dekhi Sara Din’.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the event, Zaman highlighted the intense preparation underway behind the scenes. He noted that he and his band have been rehearsing tirelessly to ensure a seamless production for the audience. The performance will feature freshly arranged compositions alongside familiar tracks, ensuring a dynamic auditory journey for attendees.
The main segment of the show is scheduled to commence at 5:00 pm. Ticket sales are currently underway, with admission split into two tiers: regular passes are priced at 900 BDT, whilst VIP tickets are available for 1,200 BDT.
