Bogura Youth Killed in Banani Attack

A young man identified as Rocky (32) was killed in a daylight attack in Bogura on Thursday (23 April), when assailants hacked him in the Banani area under Shajahanpur upazila at approximately 1:30 pm. The incident has been reported to have caused disruption and concern in the locality.

The deceased, Rocky, was the son of Belal Hossain from the Gondogram Uttarpara area of Shajahanpur upazila. He was reportedly engaged in the local brick and sand trading business. According to local sources, he had multiple cases filed against him involving allegations related to arms and robbery, and was also described as being associated with various disputed activities in the area.

Incident Overview

On the day of the incident, a group of assailants attacked Rocky in front of the Banani Customs Office. Witness accounts state that he was repeatedly struck with sharp weapons, resulting in severe injuries. He collapsed at the scene. The attackers left the area immediately after the assault.

The body was recovered from the scene and sent to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital morgue in Bogura for post-mortem examination.
