The Fuel Pass registration service in Bangladesh will remain temporarily unavailable for five hours on Thursday due to essential maintenance work on the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) server and storage systems.
According to a notice issued by the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources on Wednesday (6 May), the scheduled maintenance will be carried out to improve system performance, stability, and overall service reliability. During this period, all Fuel Pass registration-related services will be fully suspended.
The maintenance activity is planned to begin at 4:00 pm on Thursday (7 May) and will continue until 9:00 pm on the same day. Authorities have stated that normal operations will resume immediately after the completion of the technical work.
Officials have emphasised that the interruption is temporary and necessary to ensure better service quality for users in the long term. The upgrade is expected to enhance the capacity of the system, reduce technical disruptions, and strengthen data storage efficiency.
The ministry has also expressed regret for any inconvenience caused to users during the suspension period. It has advised individuals and organisations who rely on the Fuel Pass registration service to complete any urgent tasks before the maintenance window begins or to wait until the system is restored.
The Fuel Pass system is widely used for managing fuel-related registration processes, and any disruption, even for a short duration, may temporarily affect service users across the country. However, authorities have reassured the public that essential safeguards are in place to ensure a smooth transition before and after the maintenance period.
